Fadlo Discusses Raja Signings: "Mathias Added Value, Barqouq is High-Caliber, Sharara Needs to Adapt to Moroccan League"
Raja Club Athletic coach Fadlo Davids spoke about his team's draw against Ittihad Touarga in the ninth round of the Professional League, addressing his transfer window selections and the status of some of his players.
In his post-match comments, Davids stated, “A team the size of Raja Club Athletic always looks for players during the transfer window who can add value, not just sign, but players who integrate with the system and playing style. I am happy with the four reinforcements we made.”
He continued, “El Khammas only had two training sessions, yet he played the full 90 minutes. It was essential to explain our defensive and offensive fundamentals to him, and he also needs to adapt to the pace of the league.”
He added, “Sharara delivered a good performance, and we understand there's a significant difference between the Jordanian League and the Moroccan League. He still hasn't played a full match, and he himself confirmed that the intensity of training here is different from what he was used to.”
Davids further noted, “Sharara possesses the quality we need. As for Barqouq, he is a high-level international player, and despite being out of competition for six months, he is currently in the physical preparation phase.”
He elaborated, “It's normal for Barqouq to need about six weeks, but I saw his output after only two weeks. Once he is physically ready and adapts to the team's style, he will be a significant addition.”
Davids concluded, “Mathias has provided us with an important addition thanks to his speed, strength, and finishing ability, which are characteristics typical of a number 9 player.”
