Arbeloa: Counter-Attacks Will Be One of Real Madrid's Weapons All Season, We Have the Best Players in the World
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa confirmed that counter-attacks would be his team's primary weapon for the remainder of the season, following their important 2-0 victory over Villarreal in La Liga. He indicated that the secret lies in exploiting the natural characteristics of the players.
Arbeloa explained in his post-match comments: "I cannot go against the characteristics of the players; on the contrary, I must make the best use of them. We have a large number of players who are excellent at moving into spaces, possess great speed, and have the ability to be decisive in front of goal. We must benefit from these advantages, and whenever we have the opportunity to launch counter-attacks, we will do so, because this style aligns with the team's nature and is what makes the difference. This will remain one of our weapons throughout the season."
The Real Madrid coach then spoke about the duo Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Jr., stating: "They are the best players in the world and possess a very great ability to make a difference. We try to get the ball to them as much as possible, with Vinicius receiving the ball on the flanks, while Mbappé moves into spaces."
He added: "There is nothing new to discover about them now, but I am very happy with their physical condition and the work they are doing. They are highly committed to the team; they are the first to press, the first to support the midfield, and they show a high spirit of seriousness and solidarity. I am happy that this effort ultimately translates into goals."
