Mbappé Addresses Alonso's Sacking and Spanish Super Cup Involvement

The recent period saw Real Madrid lose the Spanish Super Cup final to their traditional rivals Barcelona, leading to the dismissal of coach Xabi Alonso and the appointment of Álvaro Arbeloa as his successor. Ahead of a Champions League match against Monaco, star Kylian Mbappé addressed rumors regarding his limited involvement in the Super Cup. He stated: “Should I comment on everything French journalists say? I travel because I always want to play every match. Whether I am fit or not, I don't know, but that is my nature. If I have the opportunity to play every match, I will do it.”

Mbappé further clarified his position on not participating fully: “We had planned to return for the Super Cup, but that wasn't possible against Atlético. I was very sad. I wasn't ready to play the final, but the coach asked me to come to support the team.”

Regarding rumors of a disagreement with Alonso, Mbappé denied them, saying: “No. But some of the things that are said are not true. Sometimes they are 10% true and 90% false.” He also suggested that Alonso “perhaps wasn't treated in the best way.”
