Bournemouth Coach: Semenyo's Manchester City Deal Was Not Exorbitant
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola believes Manchester City secured a bargain deal by signing Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo for £65 million. Semenyo moved to City after the club activated his release clause.
Speaking to Marca, Iraola stated: “For me, the deal was not expensive at all. He is a player who improved with every season he spent with us.”
Iraola added: “He was used to playing as a striker, but we tried him as a winger, and he adapted very well to the change. He has a key advantage: he is proficient with both his right and left feet. Knowing Pep (Guardiola, City's manager), I am sure he will make the most of him. I am convinced he will be a great signing.”
Semenyo has already scored two goals in three appearances for Manchester City since his transfer.
