
Nigeria National Team Players' Entitlements Issue Resolved Ahead of AFCON Quarter-Final Against Algeria
Nigerian journalist Tobi Samuel has confirmed that the issue regarding the Nigeria national team players' outstanding dues has been fully resolved. This settlement comes after controversy surrounded the 'Super Eagles' situation ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations 'Morocco 2025' quarter-final match.
Samuel stated on his 'X' account that he spoke with a reliable source within the Nigerian Football Federation concerning a potential strike by players and officials. The source confirmed that the matter had been settled, noting that the national team trained normally today in Fes.
Samuel's post further detailed: "The transfer of funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria to each player's individual bank account has been processed. Players and staff members will receive their full bonuses once the procedures are complete."
Nigeria is set to face Algeria in the quarter-finals. The match will take place this Saturday at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, kicking off at 17:00 GMT+1.
