Gayton McKenzie, South Africa's Minister of Sport, has apologized to Moroccans following statements made by "Bafana Bafana" coach Hugo Broos regarding the conditions for organizing the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".

McKenzie affirmed in statements to "DISKIFANS" channel: "Moroccans did an excellent job, and I am very proud of Morocco. They have proven to the world, once again, that Africa is ready to host global events."

The South African minister added that he was upset by the "Bafana Bafana" coach's behavior during the tournament, emphasizing that actions that offend others in their own country are unacceptable.

The minister noted that the coach's statements did not reflect reality, pointing out that he personally witnessed the atmosphere in Moroccan streets, stating: "We were in the streets, and we saw the atmosphere, so this was a big mistake, and I want to apologize to Moroccans on behalf of his statements.
