
Tunisian Federation Announces Termination of Coach Trabelsi's Contract and Staff Following AFCON Elimination
The Tunisian Football Federation has announced the termination of its contract with head coach Sami Trabelsi and his entire technical staff, following the team's elimination from the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".
The Tunisian Federation released a statement on its official Facebook page, confirming: "The Federal Bureau has decided to terminate the contractual relationship by mutual consent with the entire technical staff of the senior national team."
According to Tunisian radio station Mosaique FM, national coach Sami Trabelsi reached a mutual agreement with the Tunisian Football Federation to terminate his contract during a meeting held in Rabat, the Moroccan capital.
The Tunisian national team had exited the continental competition after a 1-1 draw with Mali, ultimately losing 3-2 in a penalty shootout. Notably, Mali played with ten men from the 26th minute of the match.
