
Moroccan Hamza El-Fariq Appointed VAR Assistant for Tunisia vs. Mali Clash
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Referees Committee has appointed a Moroccan referee to the officiating team for the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 match between Tunisia and Mali.
Moroccan official Hamza El-Fariq will serve as the second assistant video assistant referee (VAR) within the crew. The match will be led by South African referee Abongile Tom, who will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela and Souru Phatsoane.
Brighton Chimene has been designated as the VAR referee, while Diana Chikotesha will take on the role of the first VAR assistant. Ahmed Imtehaz Hiralall completes the team as the fourth official.
The highly anticipated encounter is set to kick off this Saturday evening at 8:00 PM (GMT+1) at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
