Salum Ahead of Morocco Clash: "Round of 16 Will Be Tough, But We'll Fight to Make History"
Tanzania national team player Faisal Salum affirmed that the upcoming clash against the Moroccan national team in the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 will be extremely difficult, given the strength of the opponent and the fact that the match will be played on their home ground and in front of their fans.
Salum stated in press remarks: "The Round of 16 match will be difficult because it will be played on the host team's ground, but we will fight with all our strength to achieve a positive result." He emphasized that the Tanzanian players are determined to give their all on the pitch.
The Tanzanian player added that the squad is proud of what they have achieved so far, saying: "As players, we are still proud of ourselves, and we will continue to write our country's history," referring to the team's accomplishment of qualifying for the knockout stages.
He continued: "Firstly, we thank God that no player from the national team has suffered an injury," which the player considered an important factor in continuing their journey with confidence.
Salum noted that what the Tanzanian national team has achieved is a historic accomplishment, but he stressed that their ambition does not stop there, stating: "We have made history as players, but this is not enough, and we will continue to try."
It is worth noting that the Tanzanian national team will face their Moroccan counterparts next Sunday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, at 5:00 PM (GMT+1).
