Morocco Finishes 2025 Ranked 11th Globally, First in Africa and Arab World

The Moroccan national football team concluded 2025 holding onto its 11th position in the FIFA world rankings. Accumulating 1716.34 points, the Atlas Lions solidified their place among the global elite.

Morocco's standing places them ahead of traditional powerhouses such as Italy (12th) and very close to 10th-placed Croatia, underscoring the team's consistent positive results throughout the year.

On the African continent, the national team solidified its standing as the continent's top-ranked side, ahead of its closest rivals, Senegal (19th globally) and Algeria (34th globally).

This strong continental position provides significant momentum as Morocco participates in the Africa Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom is currently hosting. The team commenced its campaign with a crucial 2-0 victory over Comoros, now aiming to translate its ranking superiority into a long-awaited continental title.
