CAF Secretary General Declares Morocco's AFCON 'Best Edition Ever'
The Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Veron Mosengo-Omba, affirmed on Tuesday in Rabat that the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which the Kingdom of Morocco will host from December 21 to January 18 next year, will be "the best edition ever."
During a press conference dedicated to highlighting Morocco's latest preparations for the event, which he described as "global," Mosengo-Omba explained that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations "will break all records," given the extensive preparations and the anticipated level of organization.
The CAF official also emphasized the "world-class" quality of the infrastructure developed by Morocco, asserting that it is a key factor for the success of Africa's most important continental tournament.
Mosengo-Omba added, "No Africa Cup of Nations has ever witnessed this great amount of passion." He noted that this exceptional demand is clearly evident in the sale of over one million tickets to date, reflecting the significant public enthusiasm surrounding the Morocco 2025 edition.
