
Moroccan Women's National Team Drops to 66th in FIFA Rankings, Fifth in Africa
The International Football Federation (FIFA) issued the latest update to its monthly ranking for women's national teams on Thursday.
The Moroccan women's national team dropped to 66th globally in the FIFA rankings with 1399.53 points, also falling to fifth place on the African continent.
Globally, Spain continued to lead the rankings with 2094.89 points, followed by the United States with 2057.58 points, and Germany in third place with 2010.79 points.
In the continental rankings, Nigeria tops the list of African teams (37th globally) with 1607.06 points, followed by South Africa in second place (55th globally) with 1458.73 points. Ghana is third (62nd globally) with 1412.73 points, followed by Zambia in fourth place (64th globally) with 1403.41 points, and then the Moroccan team in fifth place (66th globally).
It is worth noting that the Moroccan women's national team recently lost 0-2 to their South African counterpart at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, as part of their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
