
League Announces Second Division Suspension After Matchday 11 for AFCON Preparations
The National Professional Football League has announced a change in the suspension date for the Botola Pro 2 "Inwi" competitions. This adjustment is part of the preparations to host the delegations of national teams participating in the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".
In a statement, the Professional League said: "Due to the commencement of receiving delegations for the national teams participating in the Africa Cup of Nations, and the logistical and organizational readiness required for this process."
It added: "The National Professional Football League announces that it has been decided to suspend the Botola Pro 2 'Inwi' competitions immediately after the conclusion of Matchday 11, which will end on Sunday, December 7, 2025, instead of after Matchday 12 as previously announced."
The statement concluded: "Competitions for both the first and second divisions of the Professional League will resume immediately after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025."
The League had previously announced the suspension of Botola Pro 2 competitions immediately after Matchday 12, which was scheduled for December 13, 14, and 15, 2025, before subsequently changing the date.
