Palestine Coach: "We Showed Our Strong Character Against Tunisia, and Most Importantly, We Planted Joy in the Hearts of Palestinians"
Ihab Abu Jazar, head coach of the Palestinian national team, expressed great satisfaction with his players' performance against Tunisia. The match, part of the second round of the group stage of the Arab Cup in Qatar, ended in a 2-2 draw.
During the post-match press conference, the Palestinian coach affirmed that his team approached the game with determination and high spirits. He stated, "We faced a team with seasoned players who play at the highest level, but our players delivered a great match, and we thank them for the courage they displayed throughout the encounter."
Abu Jazar continued, explaining, "Tunisia played a respectable game, and there was good interaction from them both on and off the pitch. Despite that, we managed to come back after being two goals down. Individual errors can happen, but the most important thing is that we did not give up and proved that the national team has a strong character."
The coach of "Al-Fida'i" (the Redeemers) pointed out that working on set pieces was one of the keys to their comeback. He added, "We work meticulously on this aspect with coach Ziad Ashour, and we have players capable of executing instructions perfectly."
The speaker concluded by emphasizing that today's result provides additional motivation for the squad. He highlighted, "This draw is valuable and gives us greater confidence to continue our journey. Most importantly, we planted joy in the hearts of our fans."
