Palestine national team coach Ihab Abu Jazar expressed his profound emotion during his team's friendly match against Spain's Basque Country, stating that he cried for the first time during the playing of the Palestinian national anthem.

Abu Jazar told reporters: "I am proud to have become the coach of the first Palestinian team to play in Europe. It is one of the best days of my life."

He added: "The people of Basque welcomed us with affection and solidarity, making us feel as if we were in our homeland. For the first time in my life, I cried during the national anthem. I cannot find words to describe what I felt, and this day will remain etched in my memory forever."

It is noteworthy that the Palestine national team made its historic European debut yesterday, Saturday, in its match against the Spanish Basque Country team, with 50,000 spectators present at San Mamés Stadium.

Palestine lost the match 3-0 and is preparing to play another friendly against Catalonia in Spain next Tuesday.
