Zakaria Aboub, head coach of Olympique Safi, apologized to the team's fans following their one-goal defeat to Algerian side USM Alger in their second CAF Confederation Cup group stage match. Aboub emphasized that football presents evolving challenges and results are not always as the team wishes.

Aboub stated in his remarks: "First, I apologize to our fans. We said it was possible to achieve a positive result, but this is football. I believe we could have scored in the second half, and we created several chances. In this competition, we won the first match and lost the second. We must make amends in the remaining games and correct our mistakes. The most important thing for us is to secure qualification. I take responsibility, and I must defend the players. God willing, I promise you that Olympique Safi will perform well."

The coach added: "It is better that this 'wake-up call' came at this time and not in the advanced stages. The team will be better after the break, and there are anticipated signings to strengthen the squad during the winter transfer window."
