Mali Coach Ahead of Morocco Clash: "We're Not Thinking of Revenge... Only Qualification and Making Fans Happy"

Adama Diéfla Diallo, head coach of Mali's U17 national team, affirmed that their upcoming match against Morocco in the FIFA U17 World Cup Round of 16 is not driven by any thoughts of revenge, despite the two teams having met in the final of the previous Africa Cup of Nations.

In a brief statement after the final training session, Adama Diéfla Diallo said, "This is not a revenge match. All our focus is on qualifying for the next round, nothing more."

He added that his players are in a positive mood and feel no pressure. "My players are enthusiastic, they don't feel any pressure, and they have completely moved past what happened previously. Their goal now is to win and make the fans happy, and they have all the qualities to achieve that," he stated.

The Malian coach emphasized that his squad approaches the match with great confidence and commitment, noting that they understand the magnitude of the responsibility placed upon them and are ready to deliver their best performance on the field.

It is worth noting that the match between the two national teams will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at Aspire Academy, kicking off at 16:45 (GMT+1).
