Al-Botola has learned from a high-level security source in Doha that Qatari authorities have decided to increase the number of police personnel around Souq Waqif. This measure is in preparation for potential new celebrations by Moroccan fans, should the U17 national team qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals.

The security source stated, "Precautions have been taken this time." According to the same source, security agencies have developed a special plan to ensure security and organization. This comes after the same location witnessed attempts to celebrate following Morocco's victory over the United States, which were not permitted at the time due to "a lack of security readiness" and "an insufficient number of personnel to handle large gatherings."

The same entity confirmed that authorities "will not oppose the celebrations," but this time they aim to manage the situation in an organized and safe manner to avoid any stampedes or overcrowding.

Moroccan fans are expected to gather again at Souq Waqif, especially since this location has become a traditional gathering point for Moroccan supporters since the 2022 World Cup, with the atmosphere often broadcast live by visitors and tourists of various nationalities.

These preparations come ahead of the anticipated match between "the Cubs" (Morocco U17) and Mali's national team, as Moroccan fans place great hopes on continuing their journey in the U17 Qatar World Cup.
