CAF and Puma Unveil 'Etri,' the Official Ball for AFCON 2025, Inspired by Moroccan Zellige

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with global sports brand Puma, has unveiled the official match ball for the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025" finals.

Named "Etri," which means "star" in the Amazigh language, the ball's design draws inspiration from the ancient Moroccan art of Zellige, renowned for its intricate geometric patterns. It embodies unity and passion for African football across the continent.

CAF confirmed in its statement that the name is a tribute to the star on the Moroccan flag and reflects the star patterns characteristic of traditional Zellige art.

The "Etri" ball's design combines ancient Moroccan craftsmanship with Puma's modern "Orbita 6" technology.

The "Etri" ball will be used for the first time in the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which the Kingdom of Morocco will host starting December 21, 2025.
