Brazilian President Da Silva: "I've Been Wrong Before... But We Will Beat Morocco, Even If It's by Half a Goal to Nil"
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has expressed confidence in his national team's ability to defeat Morocco in their upcoming match. The two sides are set to meet next Saturday in the first round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking to journalists after participating in a meeting of the Brazilian Council for Sustainable Economic and Social Development, Lula da Silva stated, "Honestly, I think Brazil will win. I've been wrong in my predictions before, in 1982 and 1986, but I want our team to win."
He added, "I believe Brazil will triumph, and even if they win by half a goal to nil, that would be good enough for me, but I do believe they will win."
The match is scheduled for next Saturday at 11:00 PM (GMT+1).
