El Moubaraki: "We Controlled Parts of the Raja Match and Could Have Come Back, But Lacked Focus"
Bouchaib El Moubaraki, coach of Olympique Dcheira, affirmed that his team delivered a respectable performance against Raja Club Athletic, despite a one-goal defeat in their match on Sunday, part of the 21st round of the Botola Pro Inwi.
Speaking to the press after the game, El Moubaraki stated: "We knew from the start that it wouldn't be an easy match against a team competing for the title and boasting a rich history. However, we didn't approach the encounter as required. There was excessive caution and haste from some players, which led us to lose possession on multiple occasions."
He added: "The goal we conceded was due to a lack of focus and coverage in the final minutes of the first half. In contrast, we delivered a better second half and created clear opportunities that could have secured an equalizer."
El Moubaraki continued: "Controlling parts of the game against a team of Raja's caliber is not easy. However, football is decided by details and concentration throughout the ninety minutes, and that's what we lacked at certain moments."
The Olympique Dcheira coach indicated that the team still requires more work, especially since he took over during a difficult period. He explained that some simple errors had cost the team negative results in previous matches.
El Moubaraki concluded: "We tried to correct a number of issues, and I believe the players succeeded to a significant extent. However, we still have a lot of work ahead to develop positive aspects and avoid mistakes in the future."
