Spanish newspaper AS has confirmed that German defender Antonio Rüdiger will renew his contract with Real Madrid, which is set to expire on June 30, for an additional season.
The same source explained that Rüdiger had wanted a two-season extension, but during negotiations with his agent, the Royal club's management stipulated a renewal for only one season.
