Carvajal Bids Farewell to Real Madrid: "I Leave with Pride and a Heart Full of Gratitude for Giving Everything to This Club"
Real Madrid's Spanish player Dani Carvajal has addressed a farewell message to the club's fans following the announcement of his departure at the end of the current season. In his farewell message, Carvajal stated: "Hello Madridistas, one of the toughest moments of my life has arrived. This week, I will wear our shirt for the very last time."
He continued: "I still remember that day in 2002 when I received the best gift a child could imagine: the centenary shirt at my first communion ceremony and the news of joining Real Madrid's youth academy."
Carvajal added: "That dreaming child could never have imagined he was embarking on the journey of his life. It was ten unforgettable years, moving through all categories of the club's academy. I grew as a footballer, and above all, as a person. There, I learned what it means to defend this badge and understood that being a Madridista is not just about playing football, but a way of understanding life."
He further stated: "In 2012, we achieved that historic promotion with the reserve team, an accomplishment I hold with special affection. After that, and a year spent in Germany, I returned home. I returned to the place I always wanted to be. My dream was coming true, but the best was yet to come."
Carvajal continued: "Since then, we have lived nights that will remain etched in history and in my heart: La Décima, three consecutive Champions League titles, league titles, impossible comebacks, and two additional Champions League trophies achieved at a Santiago Bernabéu that roared like never before. Only those who have been inside this stadium can understand the magic you feel when this club defies the impossible."
He also noted: "But the path was not always paved with roses; there were injuries, setbacks, and moments of doubt that tested me. I always rose again, because if there's one thing I've learned, etched in fire thanks to this badge, it's never to give up."
Carvajal explained: "On the day of my presentation, I told you that I would give my last breath on the field to make this club and this team better. Today, after 6 Champions League titles and 27 trophies, I leave with peace of mind, having fulfilled my promise. I close this chapter after more than 450 matches, in which I gave absolutely everything."
He concluded: "I can only say thank you for every applause, for every magical night, for pushing us towards impossible victories, and for transforming the Bernabéu into a place where dreams come true. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and eternal pride, knowing that I gave everything for this club. Because the Madridista identity is not explained, it is lived. Always goodbye, Real Madrid."
