Wydad Fans to Ait Mena: "No One Asked You to Withdraw Your Resignation; We Await Your Immediate Departure"
Wydad Athletic Club fans have sent new messages to club president Hicham Ait Mena, reaffirming their demand for the immediate departure of the current executive board, despite the latter's earlier announcement of their intention to leave during the upcoming elective General Assembly.
The Wydad supporters emphasized that “no one asked Ait Mena to withdraw his resignation,” considering that the fundamental demand from the outset was “immediate departure” and not continuation until the date of the General Assembly.
Wydad stakeholders believe that the current board's continued management of club affairs, despite announcing their departure, contradicts the demands of fans and members who have repeatedly expressed their rejection of the current situation, especially given the sports and administrative crisis the team is experiencing this season.
The Wydad administrative board had previously announced, in an official statement, its intention to submit its resignation during the next ordinary elective General Assembly, while opening the door for membership and the submission of candidacy files for the club presidency. This move sparked widespread controversy within the “Red Team's” circles.
