Anderlecht Signs 15-Year-Old Moroccan Talent Selim Ben Ali to First Professional Contract Until 2029
Belgian club Anderlecht has announced the signing of 15-year-old Selim Ben Ali to his first professional contract with the club. Ben Ali is a product of the club's academy, having joined in 2018, and is considered one of the most promising talents to emerge from Anderlecht's youth system.
The Moroccan U16 international primarily plays as a centre-back but can also operate in midfield, providing significant tactical flexibility on the pitch.
Tim Bourgo, a club official, commented on the young player: “Selim is a Moroccan international (U16) who plays above his age group thanks to his great maturity. He is versatile across positions 4, 5, 6, and 8, in addition to possessing high technical quality, excellent game vision, and advanced tactical intelligence.”
Bourgo added: “He is a calm player under pressure, disciplined in his positioning and effort, and capable of initiating attacks. He is a very mature young player with a strong personality on the field.”
With this signing, Selim Ben Ali is officially tied to Anderlecht until 2029, a move that underscores the Belgian club's commitment to one of its most exciting rising talents.
