Mundo Deportivo: Barcelona Receives Offer for Friendly Match in Morocco This Summer
Spanish media sources have reported that Barcelona has received an offer to play a friendly match in the Kingdom of Morocco as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona's board of directors held a meeting on Thursday to discuss the pre-season schedule. It was confirmed that the team would not undertake a summer tour this year, as the World Cup concludes on July 19, making it difficult to ensure all players are ready.
Instead, the team will hold a training camp at the Football Association's St George's Park facilities near Birmingham, starting in late July and lasting approximately two weeks.
Offers for two friendly matches were also discussed. The first is proposed to take place in Kenya, likely in Nairobi, while the second would be held in Morocco against a local team, as part of the summer preparations.
The same source indicates that one possibility for the Kenya match is to face Liverpool, while the opponent for the match in Morocco is expected to be a local team that has not yet been identified.
