Fadlu: "The Break Helped Players Understand My Ideas, Still Room for Significant Development"
Raja Club Athletic coach Fadlu Davids expressed his satisfaction with his players' understanding of his playing style and tactical ideas following their 4-1 victory over Fath Union Sport in Week 16 of the Professional League.
During the post-match press conference, Davids stated: "The performance was good, and it was clear that the break caused us to lose our match rhythm. As games continue, our performance will stabilize, but there will be times when we lose focus and easily give away possession."
He continued: "We must maintain high concentration to keep our rhythm throughout the match. I am happy with the win and with our sustained performance for the full 90 minutes; these are two important points, especially psychologically."
Davids added: "I joined the team after the pre-season phase had ended and the competition had already begun. We only had three training sessions before our first match, so it was difficult to implement my ideas then. After five matches, we managed to reach the top of the league and became the best team in terms of possession."
He further explained: "We brought in seven players during the transfer window, and that was the most challenging period for them to integrate with our playing style. We needed more time, especially since some of them came from different leagues."
Davids concluded: "The break helped in understanding our ideas, and the players are now applying our playing principles better. This is just one step, and there is still significant room for our development."
