Wamda News Center Documents Reaffirm Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi's Historical Legacy
In an initiative carrying deep symbolic and historical dimensions, the Wamda Center for Media and Development presented Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi Omnisports with a collection of historical documents. These documents affirm King Mohammed VI's honorary presidency of the venerable sports institution, alongside a rare historical photograph documenting that pivotal moment in the club's history.
This gesture followed an intellectual and scientific symposium organized by the Wamda Center for Media and Development, in partnership with the Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi Omnisports management office and the Association of Former Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi Football Players. Held in El Jadida, the symposium focused on 'The Role of Local Sports Media in Sports Development' and saw a significant attendance from media and sports personalities.
The symposium featured a selection of prominent figures from the media and academic fields, including veteran El Jadida journalists Abdullah Ghaytumi and Mustapha Achmaoui, alongside Dr. Mohamed Akyas and Dr. Karim Chamakh, Secretary-General of the Association of Mental Health Professionals. Discussions addressed the reality and challenges facing local sports media, as well as its vital role in supporting sports development and enhancing the local prominence of clubs.
This occasion served as an opportunity to highlight the importance of historical documentation in preserving the memory of sports clubs, especially those with a symbolic status within the national sports landscape, such as Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi Omnisports, which has remained one of El Jadida's most prominent sports landmarks for decades.
