Carteron: "Some Players Still Haven't Adapted to My Ideas"
Patrice Carteron, coach of Wydad AC, indicated that some of his players have not yet adapted to his ideas, affirming his understanding of the current situation the team is experiencing after the change in the technical staff.
Speaking at the press conference following the 1-1 draw against Difaâ El Jadida, Carteron said, "My ideas have been misunderstood, and when I want to implement them, I see that some players still haven't adapted to them."
He continued, "I know there are circumstances like the coaching change and some injuries, and the players want to understand the technical staff."
He added, "Wydad is a team that must know how to attack, how to press, and how to run a lot on the field. This is what I wanted to convey last week and today."
He further stated, "We are still somewhat behind, although I found today that we have improved a little better, but we are angry with the result and the mistakes made."
Carteron concluded, "If we had won with a clean sheet, we would have gained confidence, and we could have worked, and I would have been more comfortable and happier."
