El Khayyati and Razkou Begin Individual Training, Duo to Miss RS Berkane Second Leg Clash
AS FAR will face RS Berkane in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final with several key absences from their squad.
Albotola has learned that goalkeeper Ayoub El Khayyati and player Tawfik Razkou have begun individual training sessions as they recover from injuries, with hopes of returning to action in the near future. However, both players will be unavailable for the upcoming match.
Midfielder Zinedine Derrag will also be absent from the game, serving a three-month suspension imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) due to a doping violation.
The military team resumed their preparations two days ago with a training session at the Maâmora Sports Center. The focus was on gradually increasing the intensity of work and refining technical and tactical aspects in anticipation of the crucial second leg.
The team is scheduled to depart for Berkane tomorrow, Thursday, via an air trip from Rabat-Salé Airport at 1:00 PM (GMT+1). They will land at Oujda Angads Airport, a detail previously reported by Albotola.
AS FAR secured a significant 2-0 victory in the first leg, held at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with goals scored by Ahmed Hamoudan and Khalid Ait Ourkane.
The second leg is set to take place next Saturday at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, kicking off at 8:00 PM, and will be officiated by Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho.
