Interventions Underway to Save Ziyat and Raja Board from 'Real Predicament' Over Financial Report
Anticipation continues to build within Raja Club Athletic amidst the ongoing crisis surrounding last season's financial report. Intensive efforts are underway to find a consensual solution to resolve this pending issue.
Information circulating within club circles indicates that several former presidents and club members have intervened in the crisis. These mediations aim to bridge the viewpoints between the conflicting parties and reach a consensual formula that will spare the club further tension.
The core point of contention revolves around the current board, led by Jawad Ziyat, including an amount estimated at 3.4 billion centimes in last season's financial report. This inclusion has been outright rejected by former presidents Adil Hala and Abdellah Birouaine due to the absence of documents proving the expenditure. Conversely, there is a push within the current board to approve the report through legal and regulatory mechanisms.
Amidst these developments, communications are intensifying among various stakeholders within the club in an attempt to find a compromise solution to overcome the crisis. This could involve introducing amendments to the financial report or resorting to an extraordinary general assembly to make a final decision on the matter.
Former Raja CA president Abdellah Birouaine had previously stated in press remarks that the financial report prepared by the current board “almost led him to Oukacha prison,” were it not for what he described as “divine grace.” He further noted that the file contained sensitive information that could have resulted in severe legal repercussions.
