From the Stands to the Street: “Amazighn” Continues Campaign to Oust El Faqir from Hassania Presidency
The "Amazighn" ultras group, supporters of Hassania Agadir Club, issued a new statement following a protest held last Sunday, reiterating its demands for the departure of the current executive board.
The statement from the group read: “Continuing the purification process, determined to expel the riff-raff from within the club's mechanisms. Thousands of passionate Hassania Agadir fans took part in a second protest march, the main activity of which was to send a message to Belaid El Faqir to submit his resignation.”
It continued: “The president is immediately and explicitly demanded to relinquish his duties as club president, along with his deputies and board members who have demonstrated their utter failure since assuming leadership.”
The statement added: “To the tunes of Jil Jilala, the crowd shouted at Belaid: 'What are you living for?' – a philosophical question sung by the Moroccan group about every empty person living without purpose to give meaning to their life.”
It further elaborated: “Such is the tenure of Belaid El Faqir, who has presided over the club for two and a half years, marked by his weak personality and stooped posture. He has neither managed to improve the situation and establish a sports project that respects our history and standing, nor has he succeeded in managing the club's company and marketing its brand optimally.”
The group stated: “Emptiness and chaos have engulfed our club, something we recognized early on. However, out of patience, we gave the individual in question the benefit of the doubt repeatedly, until our doubts were finally dispelled, confirming the necessity of his departure and entrusting the club to those who are worthy of it.”
The statement indicated: “Before the league season resumes, Ultras Amazighn reiterates its rejection of the current executive board and confirms its intention to continue protesting in the city streets until their demands are met.”
It concluded: “Amidst all this, we are fully prepared for the second half of the league season, standing behind the team and its new coach. Our loyalty has never been tied to a name or a title, but rather to a crest we adore to the point of madness.”
