En-Nesyri After Neom Brace: "Happy at Al-Ittihad, We'll Continue Working for Positive Results"
Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri delivered a standout performance despite Al-Ittihad's 3-4 defeat to Neom in Round 29 of the Roshn Saudi League.
Speaking to Saudi channel "Thamaniya," Youssef En-Nesyri stated, "I want to thank the fans who came to support us and the players who gave their absolute best. We tried to make a comeback, but we couldn't achieve it."
He added, "We lacked focus during the match. They exploited the gaps we had and scored two goals. It's true that we managed to get back into the game and score our third goal, but the absence of concentration ultimately cost us dearly."
En-Nesyri continued, "I am extremely happy to be at Al-Ittihad Club; it's a truly massive club. I thank them for the warm welcome I've received since day one. We will continue to work hard to achieve positive results in the upcoming matches."
En-Nesyri scored a brace in the first half of the match. He netted his first goal in the 38th minute to reduce the deficit, then followed up in the 44th minute with an equalizer, making the score 2-2, despite his team's eventual 3-4 loss.
