Scholes to Manchester United Management: "Sell Noussair Mazraoui… I Think It's Time to Let Him Go Now"
Former England star Paul Scholes has urged Manchester United's management to reconsider the future of several players, including Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui. Scholes also discussed a list of eight players within the squad whom he believes should be offloaded during the upcoming summer transfer window, as the club aims to strengthen its ranks and compete for the Premier League title and the Champions League.
Speaking on "The Good, The Bad & The Football" podcast, Scholes stated: "Sell Noussair Mazraoui. I don't know where he fits in the team."
He added: "Mazraoui was more like a right-back, and they don't play with three centre-backs anymore. If there were three defenders, he could have been one of five or six, but I think it's time to let him go now."
Scholes clarified that Mazraoui might have been a different option if the team adopted a three-defender formation, but he believes the current situation does not support his continued presence, considering it's time for a decisive decision regarding his future at Manchester United.
The list of players former England international Paul Scholes believes should be sold includes Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, Patrick Dorgu, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, and Joshua Zirkzee, as part of the club's efforts to rebuild the squad and compete for the Premier League title and the Champions League.
