El Morabit After His First French League Goal: "It's a beautiful goal I'll never forget... but I haven't watched it again yet"
Moroccan international Samir El Morabit guided Strasbourg to a crucial victory against Nice, delivering a standout performance that included a goal and an assist, directly contributing to their 3-1 win in the 35th round of Ligue 1.
Speaking to beIN Sports, El Morabit stated: "It's a beautiful goal, but I haven't watched it again yet. It's fantastic. I'll never forget it; it's my first goal in Ligue 1. When I had the opportunity, I didn't have time to think."
The Moroccan player added that the team is currently focused on their next fixture, explaining: "We prepared well for the Mainz match. We will work hard to be ready for Thursday's game."
The 20-year-old Moroccan international Samir El Morabit is considered one of Strasbourg's standout players this season. The club has reportedly entered negotiations to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2030. However, according to French newspaper L'Equipe, his current salary, ranging between 50,000 and 60,000 euros per month, does not reflect his current standing within the team.
It is worth noting that Samir El Morabit made his debut with the Moroccan senior national team during the last international break, coming on as a substitute in a friendly against Ecuador before starting in the match against Paraguay.
