
Morocco Futsal Team to Participate in International Friendly Tournament in Berkane Ahead of AFCON
The Moroccan national futsal team continues its intensive preparations for upcoming continental competitions by participating in an international friendly tournament hosted in Berkane from April 10 to 14.
This tournament will feature the national teams of Libya and Cape Verde, alongside the host nation, as part of a preparatory program aimed at enhancing competitiveness and readiness ahead of the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations finals.
The "Atlas Lions of Futsal" will play their first match on Friday, April 10, against Cape Verde. Cape Verde will then face Libya on Sunday, April 12, while the Moroccan team will conclude its participation on Tuesday, April 14, by playing against Libya. All matches are scheduled for 7:00 PM (GMT+1).
In a related development, national coach Hicham Dguig has called up 20 players for this preparatory camp, which is part of the technical staff's strategy to assess the national squad's readiness and strengthen team cohesion.
