
Morocco U17s Defeat Egypt 2-1 in UNAF U17 Tournament, Extending Winning Streak
The Moroccan U17 national team defeated their Egyptian counterparts 2-1 in the third round of the North African Football Union (UNAF) Championship, currently hosted by Libya.
From the outset of the match, the "Atlas Cubs" applied pressure on the Egyptian defense, with Morocco nearly opening the scoring through a dangerous play in the eighth minute.
Morocco's persistent efforts paid off when Ramy Loqmani netted the opening goal in the 24th minute after a well-constructed attack. However, Egypt managed to equalize in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, the Moroccan team continued to push for another goal, finally succeeding in the 84th minute through Adnan El Bajoufi. This secured a third consecutive victory for the "Atlas Cubs," extending their dominant run in the tournament.
Morocco began their campaign strongly, securing a 2-0 win against Tunisia in the first round, followed by a commanding 3-0 victory over Algeria.
The Moroccan team will play their final match of the qualifiers against Libya next Sunday at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 14:00 (GMT +1).
