Pacho (Ecuador Player): "Playing at This Level Against a Team Like Morocco is Good"
Ecuador international Willian Pacho believes his teammates delivered a good performance against Morocco in their 1-1 draw, stating that this test will be highly beneficial for their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Pacho, Achraf Hakimi's teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, stated in a press interview: "We leave the field with positive feelings. Playing at this level against a team like Morocco is good."
He added: "The goal they scored against us came from a set-piece, and we must correct that. It's better for this to happen now rather than in the World Cup."
Pacho concluded: "I think the first half was much better than the second. When we scored, we had to hold on a bit. We suffered, but that's part of football."
It is worth noting that the Ecuadorian national team has now extended its unbeaten run to 16 consecutive matches, with their last defeat dating back to September 2024 (a 1-0 loss to Brazil).
