Halhal Recounts Moment of National Team Call-Up: 'I Was in Training When I Received a Congratulatory Message from My Parents'
Moroccan defender Redouane Halhal expressed his immense joy after receiving his first call-up to the Moroccan senior national team, affirming that it had been a lifelong dream.
Speaking to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation's official website, Halhal said: "I had just finished training, and afterwards we were in the changing room. I was waiting for the squad list when my coach told me to check my phone. I found a congratulatory message from my parents. I felt immense happiness and genuine joy to be here."
The young defender continued: "It has always been a dream since childhood; ever since I was little, I dreamt of this – to touch this grass and wear this jersey. Praise be to God, the dream has come true, but now it's not over. I must continue to work and move forward."
He concluded: "For me, the Moroccan national team has always been like a family. It's a good team with great harmony, and everyone wants to work for this country and give their utmost. I have already received many messages, and it's a wonderful feeling. Dima Maghrib!"
