Real Madrid Coach Arbeloa: "Now I Can Die in Peace After a Night Like This"
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa stated after the victory over Elche in La Liga that seeing five academy players in the first-team squad was a unique and indescribable experience for him.
The Spanish coach said after the match: "My feeling seeing five academy players on the pitch? I think I can die in peace after a night like this. I spoke with Yáñez and Aguado after the game; they were the first players I coached when they were 13-14 years old, and I was able to give them the opportunity to play at the Bernabéu. It's a dream come true for me."
He added: "Add to them Carvajal, as well as Fran, Thiago Pitarch… it's indescribable. I'm very happy and proud. It's not just about their involvement, but about the way they played. I taught them well, because they showed a lot of talent, quality, and personality. It's fantastic news, and everyone sets a great example."
He continued: "This match was crucial; we had to win. We put in a great effort on Wednesday, and we will have to repeat that on Tuesday. The players are giving their utmost for Real Madrid. I hope for a happy end to the season, but whatever the outcome, the team deserves recognition."
