Arbeloa: "When I arrived, Brahim Díaz was at the Africa Cup of Nations, but he was patient... Opportunity always comes"
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa praised the performance of Moroccan international Brahim Díaz following his team's 4-1 victory over Elche on Saturday in the Spanish League. Arbeloa confirmed that Díaz is enjoying an excellent period, expressing his happiness with the player's level since his return from participating in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Real Madrid coach stated after the match: "Brahim is happy, and all players are happy when they play and perform like him. His participation in the Africa Cup of Nations meant he wasn't with me for a few weeks when I arrived, so he had to be very patient and work incredibly hard. In the end, the opportunity always comes, and you have to be ready to seize it, which is exactly what he is doing; he is working exceptionally well."
He added: "He played a great game against Manchester City. We need him to help us as he does. He is a very talented player in the penalty area, moves brilliantly, is good with both feet, and works very hard, which is exactly what I ask of him. He has to give his best on the field, and that's what he's doing."
It is worth noting that Brahim Díaz has participated in 12 matches (4 as a starter) since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, providing 4 assists. He has scored only one goal so far this current season.
