British Police Investigate Rodri Over Drone Harassment Complaints
Manchester Police have confirmed they are investigating official complaints against Spanish footballer Rodri concerning his use of a drone in the Salford area of the city centre. Reports indicate that neighbours accuse the Manchester City player of violating their privacy and harassing them by flying the drone close to their apartment windows from his private balcony located on the upper floors of his residential building.
One affected resident detailed the incident, highlighting the direct impact of this behaviour. The neighbour stated, "I live with my partner in a high-rise apartment, and the last thing one expects to see while watching TV is a drone 1 metre from the window," expressing dissatisfaction with the repeated occurrences. This testimony is part of collective reports received by security agencies regarding the drone flying very close to neighbours' private spaces.
For its part, the UK Civil Aviation Authority's regulations stipulate that drone users must respect individuals' privacy and avoid causing any nuisance to others. The Daily Mail, which reported the news, indicated that British authorities are examining the player's adherence to these legal rules, following earlier media reports of residents complaining about these practices.
