Alonso Agrees Three-Season Deal with Liverpool to Replace Slot
Spanish reports indicate that former Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool FC to take over as manager starting next season.
The Spanish newspaper "OK Diario" confirmed that Alonso will not remain unemployed for long after his dismissal from Real Madrid in January, and his next destination will be the English Premier League.
The same source indicated an agreement between Alonso and Liverpool's management to appoint him as the team's coach for three seasons, succeeding Arne Slot, who will leave his position at the end of the current season, especially if he fails to win the Champions League title.
It is worth noting that Xabi Alonso played for Liverpool as a player, spending five years with the club and winning the Champions League title with them in 2005.
