Eagles and Green Boys Announce Boycott of Hassania Agadir Match, Criticize Ticket Management for Raja Fans
The "Eagles" and "Green Boys" ultras groups, supporters of Raja Club Athletic, have announced their boycott of the upcoming match against Hassania Agadir. This decision comes in protest against what they described as "unacceptable discrimination" in the management of ticket sales, considering the move a new blow to fan passion at a time when supporters were preparing for a strong return to the stands.
In a joint statement, the two groups criticized the 70-dirham difference in ticket prices within the same seating area, asserting that this perpetuates discrimination among fans and raises questions about the criteria used to determine prices. They also expressed their rejection of allocating only 5% of the stadium's capacity to visiting fans, despite the designated area's capacity exceeding this percentage, deeming it an unjustified measure.
The statement also leveled sharp criticism at how the issue was managed, pointing to a clear contradiction in dealing with fans: a lack of guidance throughout the season followed by recourse to what the groups described as "restrictive" decisions. This, they stated, has contributed to a state of tension among fan circles and on social media platforms.
Furthermore, the ultras urged the club's management to adopt a stricter stance regarding recent refereeing errors in the team's matches. They emphasized that previous statements were insufficient to defend Raja's interests and stressed the necessity for officials to issue clear positions to protect the club's rights.
This boycott comes ahead of the match between Raja Club Athletic and hosts Hassania Agadir, scheduled for Sunday at the Grand Stade d'Agadir, kicking off at 10:00 PM, as part of the 14th round of the Professional League.
