Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus affirmed his great respect for Saudi society during the month of Ramadan, noting that he does not allow any player to drink water before the end of the training session, out of consideration for Muslim players.

Jesus told the Portuguese newspaper "Record": "Every night of Ramadan, they experience it like we experience the night of December 24th, where dinner gathers all family members. If we exchange gifts, Saudis make charitable donations to help those in need."

He continued, recounting an amusing incident during Ramadan: "During training, captain Sultan Al-Ghannam had to remind me that there were five minutes left until the call to prayer (Adhan). I immediately ended the training, and they went to Maghrib prayer, then drank water and ate a date. This is how a Muslim breaks their fast."

He added: "During team training in fasting hours, no player is allowed to drink water before the end of the training session, out of respect for Saudi customs."
