Tunisian Federation Supports Hannibal Mejbri After Racist Abuse

The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has declared its full support for player Hannibal Mejbri, a star for the Tunisian national team and England's Burnley FC, following racist abuse he received.

The Federation stated that it contacted the player to offer moral support and assistance during this period, commending the sense of responsibility he demonstrated in dealing with these transgressions.

Hannibal Mejbri revealed that he received abusive messages via Instagram, describing him as an "ape terrorist." This occurred after his participation in his team Burnley's 1-1 draw against Chelsea in Matchday 27 of the English Premier League.

Burnley FC issued an official statement expressing its strong condemnation of these actions. The statement read: "Everyone at Burnley Football Club is disgusted by the racist abuse directed towards Hannibal. There is no place for such behaviour in our society, and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms."
