
4 National Security Officers Dead, 26 Injured in Accident En Route to Secure Olympique Dcheira vs Wydad Match
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced the death of four of its employees, in an initial toll, following a traffic accident involving a bus transporting members of the Mobile Order Maintenance Unit from Sidi Ifni. They were en route to Agadir on an official mission to secure a football competition.
According to preliminary information about the incident, the bus, carrying 44 employees, was involved in an accident approximately 24 kilometers from Sidi Ifni on Saturday morning. This resulted in four fatalities as an initial count, and 26 injuries, including two employees who are in serious condition, as stated by the Directorate in its communiqué.
The communiqué added that the Director-General of National Security issued instructions to the Agadir security prefecture and the DGSN's medical and social services to monitor the health of the injured in hospital. They are to be provided with all necessary assistance for hospitalization and medical treatment, in addition to offering condolences and all forms of necessary care and support to the families of the victims who died in this tragic accident.
The Director-General of National Security also tasked the Human Resources Directorate with taking all necessary administrative measures and incentives for the victims of this tragic incident, in accordance with the special basic statute for DGSN employees.
