Inter Milan Concerns Over Bodo/Glimt Pitch
Dangerous raised sections of the artificial turf at Aspmyra Stadium, home of Bodo/Glimt, have raised concerns ahead of their playoff first leg match against Inter Milan. This damage was caused by snow removal machinery that lifted the artificial surface following recent heavy snowfall.
Inter Milan has expressed its concern regarding the potential for player injuries due to the pitch conditions. The club has contacted both Bodo/Glimt and UEFA regarding the need for intervention. Inter coach Cristian Chivu had previously noted the unevenness of the pitch during training sessions.
Meanwhile, the stadium staff is currently working to find solutions to ensure the proper conduct of the playoff first leg, which is the initial qualifying match between the two teams. A four-person refereeing team will inspect the pitch before the match kicks off at 9:00 PM.
