Kerwin Arriaga Suspended for Three Matches by Spanish Federation
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced a three-match suspension for Honduran player Kerwin Arriaga. This decision was made by the Federation's Disciplinary Committee following his accumulation of two yellow cards in a previous match against Valencia, in addition to his conduct towards the referees.
The Disciplinary Committee clarified that the suspension is divided: one match for the two yellow cards, and an additional two matches for “contemptuous or disrespectful behavior towards referees, directors, or sports authorities,” accompanied by a financial fine. This decision was made in accordance with Article 52 of the regulations.
As a result of this suspension, Arriaga will miss three upcoming matches for his team. These fixtures include encounters against Villarreal, Barcelona, and Deportivo Alavés. It is noted that the match against Villarreal was previously postponed from the sixteenth round of the Spanish top flight.
