Valencia Will Not File Complaint After Eray Cömert Incident
Valencia CF has confirmed its intention not to file a formal complaint or claim regarding the incident in which player Eray Cömert was struck by a bottle thrown from the stands after a match at the Ciutat de València stadium.
The club's decision stems from its good institutional relationship with Levante UD, as well as the overall context of the incident, which occurred after the final whistle. The incident was not included in the official match report, as the refereeing team had already departed for the changing rooms.
In related events, Eray Cömert had initiated a confrontation by using a corner flag to improvise a flag with his shirt before being struck. Valencia coach Carlos Corberán apologized on behalf of the club for Cömert's initial actions. The player also issued an apology via social media, affirming that he did not intend to "insult" Levante.
Despite Valencia's decision not to file a complaint, the Competitions Committee can officially investigate the matter due to its public repercussions, even without a formal complaint from the club.
